This Week at EastLake – November 3rd-7th

There will be no school district-wide on Tuesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all veterans for their service, courage, and dedication to our country. 🇺🇸

Classes will resume on the following school day.

We’ll be sharing information about how we support our English Language Learners, our Safety Plan, and the counseling services available at EastLake.

Bicycle and E-Bike Student Pledge

From October 7 to November 1, CVESD schools are competing to see which site can earn the highest percentage of student pledges for the City of Chula Vista’s new bicycle and e-bike safety regulations. The winning school will receive a pizza party for the entire school! Families can learn more here and complete the student pledge here.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) is thrilled to invite all students to participate in the 2025-26 Holiday Card Contest, starting November 1, 2025. This contest provides an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their artistic talents, with the winning design being selected as the official CVESD holiday card for the season.

District staff will review the submitted semi-finalist designs from each school, and the winner will be announced on Friday, December 5, 2025. The first-place winner will have their artwork featured on the district’s 2025 holiday card and a $150 prize.

Thank you to our generous sponsor California Coast Credit Union, for supporting this year’s contest. Students interested in participating should reach out to their school for specific instructions.

CVESD looks forward to celebrating the creativity and talent of students this holiday season.
